I retired a year ago last July after working for over 28 years in the field of mental health administration. I was born in Wichita Kansas, but moved to Dallas, Texas when I was 9 years old. I obtained my BA in Texas, my MA at Goddard, and a non traditional Ph.D. about ten years ago in order to please my mother. She always wanted to have a Dr. as a son.
While living in Atlanta, Georgia in 1967 I first learned about the Baha'i Faith. It was a wonderful spiritual awakening that changed my entire perspective on God, life, nature, and death. I finally found the answers to all my basic questions regarding the purpose of life and how all people everywhere can achieve unity, and truely learn to love one another.
I have been writing poetry for about 40 years, and have been reading a few years longer than that.
I have a friend who is a brilliant artist in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and his most creative works are produced when he is in emotional pain and suffering. He usually is creative all of the time.
Most of my serious works are written when I am either depressed, or am experiencing intense emotions. I also am greatly influenced by my environment. Being around creative people dramatically increases my productivity. It is, at times, difficult for me to be productive while living in rural America.
In addition to the web pages designed by Pamela Jaywardena, I have had many of my poems published in:
And a privately published collection titled "The New Creation and Other Poems"
